The geometry and function of this lock are identical to early 1963 Corvette glove box case, as well case. I try to clearly and accurately describe all the gm Corvette parts sell on. The lock case in this offer is type with asymmetrical bezel goatee on bottom side, which was only used for first 3 or 4 months of production 1963 Corvette.

Note that original gm lock cases can be positively identified by the four indented circles on back end and a mold number, b x, where is digit between 1 8.
Note that late 1963 Corvettes used a lock case had round stainless steel bezel. The gm part number of this lock case is hole on back side untapped, which again confirms its Nos nature. I've lost the gm packaging but this lock is in pristine condition. These locks were held in place with a large u bracket that is secured to the lock using self-tapping, Phillips head screw.
