Should be correct for cougar, Thunderbird, tiring, mark iv, v, ltd, Ltd, rancher, XR-7, and other model's. I don't know exactly what it was removed from, but this assembly typically used on Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury.

The wires were cut about four inches from connector. The piece is red plastic with four wires going in.
